Jacinta Martin
Financial Adviser and Mortgage Consultant BBus (Fin/Mkt), DipFB, AdvDipFP, JP
The trajectory that led me to becoming a financial adviser really started back in high school.
In Year 10, I’d missed a lot of school due to illness, and my teacher told me I shouldn’t do maths because it would be too hard. That comment lit a fire in me—I wanted to prove him wrong. I wasn’t about to back down from a challenge.
Fast forward a few years, and I found myself interning with a financial planner. A client was facing a dilemma: their home desperately needed a new roof, but they also wanted to attend their son’s destination wedding.
They thought they had to choose between the practical and the personal. But the planner showed them that both were possible. Seeing the relief and joy on their faces at that moment made it clear to me—this is the work I want to do.
I’m privileged to be able to help people live their best lives and go beyond what they ever thought was possible. Hearing how people have achieved their goals of travel, education or being generally happier and more fulfilled through our help gives me all the job satisfaction I need.
When I’m not strategising or number crunching, you’ll find me travelling or being active on the soccer field, up a mountain or in the ocean.

What does ‘financial freedom’ mean to you?
Achieving peace in my financial and personal decisions. Being able to live the life the fulfils me whilst ensuring I am securing my financial and family’s future.
If you could have dinner with anyone dead or alive who would it be?
My Grandfather or Queen Elizabeth the II. Both at the same time would be wonderful.
What is your favourite quote?
“You can’t tell me the sky is the limit when there are footprints on the moon.”
If you could live in any city in the world for a year, where would it be and why?
Grindlewald, Switzerland. I would love to experience all 4 seasons of Switzerland. Endless hikes and skiing, seemingly fake scenery sounds delightful.
What's your go-to karaoke song?
I've got a few favourites: Mr Brightside - The Killers, I wanna dance with somebody - Whitney Houston. Dancing Queen - ABBA :).
